It's certainly obvious that Capcom wanted this to resemble Devil May Cry. The problem is that this looks just a tad less 3-D. The Italian style villas and castles and the background mountains all certainly look good...they simply don't have the overall wonderful textures that Devil May Cry does, and that's unfortunate. Where they do excel though is in the battles. At any given time there may be 10-15 different monsters attacking you and all are rendered nicely and have very good movements, the frame rate is excellent overall.

Once again, it's a case of good, not great. The mood is set nicely and the different tracks do add to the over all effect and feel of the game but they do not cause the story or action to excel, just missed.
-Gameplay- 7/10
OK, basically this is so similar to Devil May Cry that anyone who has ever played that or pretty much any "button pushing action game" will feel right at home, push this button to jump, this one to slide/roll, this one to attack etc. What makes this game slightly different are the "Legions". Basically these are customizable allies that will help you in your battles. They will either attack on their own or attack whichever monster you attack and each has their strengths and weakness which are extremely important to know and utilize in the battles. Now, here's my major complaint, at times I felt I wasn't;'t really necessary, to prove that I defeated one level by never attacking anything and just using the Legions, and I have to be honest, while it was an interesting experiment it was boring. The other issue with the game is that once you figure out which battle tactics you need to win the battles the game becomes simply way too easy and way too repetitive, it's unfortunate, because Capcom certainly had a really, really good idea withe Legion allies.
-Story- 7/10
Ummm...let's see....not gonna lie, I simply didn't pay enough attention nor was I captivated enough to really figure out what was going on, pretty basic kill all the monsters and save the day
-Overall- 7.5/10
If you love Dante then you may, and I repeat, may love this, after all, it's pretty much him playing the game, same look/feel/mannerisms/big sword etc. Unfortunately for me I simply felt Capcom missed the boat a bit by making the game way to repetitive and after finish each mission my hands were killing me, can only press X so many times in a row quickly without getting cramps.
