-Visuals- 7/10 Not bad. The grainy look adds to the suspense and creepiness. Everything looks nice, but nothing to really blow you away. Some monsters look more silly than anything though. -Sound- 9.8/10 Without good sound, a game cannot be scary. Silent Hill 2 offers some great sound. A walkie- talkie you find early in the game starts to receive static when monsters are nearby but it doesn't give you the direction they are coming from. The way all the sounds are done make for a spooky experience. -Game play- 7/10 Controls is my main problem. I want to go this way so I point my analog stick that way. Guess what, I end up the way I don't want to go. Just takes getting used too. The whole point of the game is a search, and that's what you do. I can only play for about an hour before I get bored. -Story- 9/10 You take control of James Sunderland who receives a letter from his wife Mary. This is all fine except for the fact that Mary died 3 years before. The letter tells James to meet her at their "special place", Silent Hill. So begins a long search for Mary. Cant ruin the rest for you. -Overall- 8.6/10 A very scary game. I absolutely love playing when it gets dark. With a better control scheme it would get over a 9.5. Worth the money, definitely.
