-Visuals- 7.5/10
Now before I start let me say that this is as high as it is because of what it is, and not what it isn't. The game is obviously not going to blow you away in visuals whether it be because of angular player models or blurred crowds, but what will impress you is the almost total lack of any jerky movements or choppiness. The animations are for the most part seamless and very fluid. A great job over all (I've read that it actually looks better than the PS3 version but I cannot say that from personal experience)
-Sound- 8.5/10
Gary Thorne and Steve Phillips do an excellent job as announcers, while obviously not every comment will be spot on it is still over all a great job matching comments and on-field action. The sound effect though were a tad too overdone for my tastes, almost as if there was a mini microphone on the ball and in the players gloves.
-Gameplay- 7.2/10
Very simple controls (they even went back to the old way of pitching and got rid of the right stick) sometimes make it simply too easy, although for some reason I had issues batting first few games, weird how it suddenly seemed as if either me or the game decided OK, enough, now he can hit.
-Story- NA
It's baseball
-Overall- 7.8/10
It's by far the best 2k baseball game since 2K5 but unfortunately for 2K Games it just doesn't hold a candle to the next-gen games out there, most notably of course The Show Series. I admit I hold a special place in my heart for this series, to me it was the first console game to feel like real baseball. I hope they decide to concentrate more on the next version, assuming there is one, and at least approach the standard other baseball games have achieved, I'm pulling for a ninth inning comeback!
