-Visuals- 8/10
The visuals were pretty decent. You would think that in a game with some much going on there would be some texture issues, or some glitchey shapes, but it was nice. The main problem was the characters. It felt a little off. When you play, you don't know what it is but something just feels wrong with the graphics. With todays games I expected a little more.
-Sound- 8/10
The sound lacks a bit when compared to other FPSs. Most of the guns sound the same too and, while it's not very noticeable, it does take away from the experience. It is also a very loud game. Every explosion sounds like it is five feet away, making the game very hectic.
-Gameplay- 7/10
The game itself is very similar to the Quake Wars series. Controls are about the same and so are the graphics. I am a fan of Quake wars so that won me over. However, after playing Modern Warfare Two as much as I do, the controls are hard to get used to. I found myself switching weapons randomly or taking out my gun when I tried to throw a grenade. But after I spent a few hours with the game that problem was fixed. You just have to get into it. It still feels a little broken though.
-Story- NA/10
Ha ha, what story? This game is all about online. It's just three PMCs duking it out for their employers. You can't really rate the story on this one.
-Overall- 8/10
At first I hated this game. I wanted to go hunt down everyone who helped hype it up. But then I realized, this isn't what the developers had in mind. MAG has amazing potential. People just haven't figured out what to do with it yet. I went into MAG expecting to get orders from a squad leader. I expected my squad to stick together. If people played like they should this game would be mind blowing. If you were to go in to a match with a coordinated team you would steam roll through everyone else. MAG is a good game but until people start playing like a team this game isn't going anywhere.
